The road vehicles have a receiver (2) that is coupled to a number of stationary units (4) distributed around a road network. The units together with a number of sensors (7) connect with a central data handling system (6). The sensors provide monitoring of road conditions e.g. hazards, weather etc. and within each vehicle is a display.
