The evaluation unit (4) is provided with devices for calculating the positional changes of the vehicle (FZ) from the measurement data supplied from the sensor devices (11-14), and in the evaluation unit (4) signals for the release of the vehicle occupant protection device can be generated in dependency on the evaluated measurement data. |
