Interpretation of driver demands for braking and drive, never delivers positive torque when both braking and drive are requested simultaneously

An economical evaluation of the sum of braking and drive signals is formed to control the drive unit. Delivery of positive torque on simultaneous operation of brakes and accelerator is excluded. An Independent claim is included for corresponding control equipment.
