<p>A method for recording information on a rewritable optical recording medium having information recording layers by making a recording mark having a favorable shape. In the method, a laser beam the power of which is modulated is applied to the light incidence surface (13a) of an optical recording medium (10) having at least an LO layer (20) and an L1 layer (30) formed thereon in a multilayer structure so as to record information. The relation between the wavelength λ of the laser beam and the numerical aperture NA of the objective for focusing the laser beam is λ/NA ≤ 700 nm. The pulse width Ttop0 of a top pulse when information is recorded in the L0 layer (20) is set to a value smaller than the pulse width Ttop1 of a top pulse when information is recorded in the L1 layer (30).</p> |
