Frog lifting mechanism, at railway direction change points, has mountings at both wing rails, with a roller/cam on a rocker to lift the frog from the sliding plate at the sleeper

The frog lifting mechanism (1) with a moving frog point between two wing rails, at direction change points in a railway permanent way, has at least one slide lying on a plate at least at one sleeper to take up the load of rail traffic. On changing the points direction, the frog point is lifted from the sleeper plate. A roller (13) or cam is against the frog, for a rolling movement without lubrication, with a rocker structure (10a,10b) to carry the roller. One mounting section (8) of the mechanism is attached to a wing rail and a further mounting section (9) is secured to the other wing rail. Both mountings are in a release fitting at a sleeper.
