The bearing system has 2 axially spaced bearings (4.1,4.2) for attaching the switching block to the automobile chassis, a bearing (6) securing the switching block to the housing of the switched transmission (3) and at least one further bearing (7.1,7.2) coupling the switching rod (2) with the transmission. The axially spaced bearings are provided by elastomer bearing sleeves, for isolation of the switching block from the vibration of the chassis.
