<p>The present invention relates to an analog-to-digital (A/D) converter comprising a digital-to-analog (D/A) converter part, means for providing a measure that is compared, means for conducting a comparison result to control logic means and control logic means for providing control signals to the D/A converter part. The control logic comprises at least one asynchronous shift register and at least one control logic circuit. The asynchronous shift register provides control signals to the control logic circuit after processing a received control signal in the asynchronous shift register, wherein the control signal is whether a START signal or a control signal received from an asynchronous shift register of a previous bit. The present invention further relates to a method for controlling a function of a current scaler, wherein the current scaler comprises switching means, means for scaling an input measure and means for conducting the scaled input measure.</p> |
