The looped rein is fastened to a saddle-strap and is guided through snaffle-rings (10) to the rider's hand. That part (4.1;4.2) of the rein between the snaffle rings and the saddle strap, and between the snaffle rings of a bridle (11) and saddle strap is at least partly extensible and especially elastically deformable, in the form of rubber elements.
