The invention relates to a U-shaped pipe, more particularly to an closed circulating line for central heating and refrigeration in which fluid medium serves as "energy" carrier, and an open-type mass circulation pipe for water or gas. The U-shaped pipe (1) comprises two straight tubes and an arc tube therebetween. One end of one straight tube is closed or connected with a branch pipe. There are N branch pipes (1-1, 1-2, 1-3…1-N) on the straight tube. Another straight tube is an initial guidetube. The initial guidetube of one U-shaped pipe is connected with the branch pipe of another U-shaped pipe to form a U-shaped pipe subassembly. Short circuit of working midium can be avoided. Velocity pressure equalization can be achieved. Velocity of flow in heater is related to the pipe diameter of inlet or outlet. Furthermore, connected vessels mode can be changed into siphon mode by using the U-shaped pipe subassembly. Thus pressure decrease corresponds with the decrease of water supply area.
