Locating device for determining the position of a patient (2) and body parts, especially for minimally invasive surgery using permanent markers (4) that are used to check the intervention location. The patient is held in an essentially fixed position of a support (1) and the fixed markers are placed on the patient support. Each marker has a transceiver for communication with a control device. The invention also relates to a corresponding navigation system for continuous determination of the position of a patient and a navigation method.
