PURPOSE: A mother-of-pearl coated decorative light metal sheet is provided to solve problems of the process procedure before primer coating of wood used in conventional lacquer-work inlaid with mother-of-pearl by using aluminum sheet and reduce production cost by performing primer coating using ordinary urethane paint. CONSTITUTION: The method for manufacturing mother-of-pearl coated decorative light metal sheet comprises the processes of performing sanding operation on the surface of the surface of light metal sheet such as aluminum sheet using a sandpaper so that wash primer is well adhered to the surface of the light metal sheet and flaws generated during production of the aluminum sheet are removed; heat treating the sprayed wash primer at a temperature of 60 to 80 deg.C for 30 minutes after spraying wash primer onto the sanded surface of the light metal sheet to dry wash primer quickly and increase adhesive property; heat treating the urethane sprayed light metal sheet at a temperature of 60 to 80 deg.C for 30 minutes after spraying urethane paint on the wash primer coated light metal sheet, wherein primer coating is performed using selected colors going with decoration; adhering the cut mother-of-pearl adhered to Korean paper to the surface of the urethane paint coated light metal sheet using an ordinary stationery glue after adhering the cutout mother-of-pearl to Korean paper by cutting out natural mother-of-pearl according to respective designs and shapes; removing foreign materials of the glue stuck to the surface of the mother-of-pearl attached light metal sheet using water of ordinary temperature; and spraying UV coating solution on the surface of the mother-of-pearl attached light metal sheet after naturally drying water remained.
