<p>An object of the invention is to provide a superior navigation switch device simple in construction, capable of operations in 8 directions in all including forward, rearward, rightward, leftward and oblique. Four arcuate electric conductors (2a, 2b, 2c, 2d) are disposed front and rear and right and left in a doughnut form as a whole on a print substrate (1) with slight clearances (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d). And a cap body (5) opposed to the print substrate (1) is provided with shorting elements (6a, 6b, 6c, 6d) that contact the electric conductors (2a, 2b, 2c, 2d) when an operating element (11) is operated forward, rearward, leftward, rightward, and obliquely. The four electric conductors are in the form of two opposed electric conductor layers (4a, 4b) with the middle one in radial comb shape, the ones at the opposite ends in circumferential comb shape, and the outer peripheral of the cap-like body (5) is formed with thin portions (7). Disposed in the vicinity of the thin portions (7) are thick portions (8a, 8b, 8c, 8d, 8e, 8f, 8g, 8h), longitudinal, transverse and oblique, forming a substantially regular octagon as a whole.</p> |
