<p>The invention relates to a method of preparing a product based on a phosphate of at least one element M (IV), e.g. thorium and/or actinide(s) (IV). The inventive method comprises the following steps: a) mixing a solution containing thorium (IV) and/or at least one actinide (IV) with a phosphoric acid solution in quantities such that the molar ratio, Formula (I), is equal to between 1.4 and 2; b) heating the mixture of the solutions in a sealed container to a temperature of between 50 and 250 °C in order to precipitate a product containing a phosphate of at least one element M, which is selected from thorium (IV) and actinides (IV) having a molar ratio P/M that is equal to 1.5; and c) separating the precipitated product from the solution. The precipitate can be transformed into a phosphate-diphosphate of thorium and actinide(s). Said method also applies to the separation of uranyl ions from other cations.</p> |
