<p>A device and a method for executing data transfer that can guarantee the QoS of data to be sent and received. The setting of an IEEE802.1p-conforming priority tag, which is a priority identifier, is executed under management of a tag management terminal. A priority tag is set for a priority processing flow, for example, a QoS-guaranteed data flow, to prevent the queues of a communication controller, such as a network connection switch, from being duplicated. For example, the tag management terminal maintains a table containing the queue usage status used for communication in a sub-network and, in response to a queue request from each terminal, allocates a tag by referring to the table. In a communication controlling unit, such as a switch, that performs data transfer control, this method prevents duplicated queues from being generated for a priority processing flow by simply using the table where tags are related to queues.</p> |
