<p>The invention relates, in particular, to the soundproofing of the engine compartment of a motor vehicle, in order to provide sound insulation between the engine compartment and the passenger compartment and/or to absorb the noise in said engine compartment. According to the invention, the assembly comprises: a wall (40); and a soundproofing part (30) consisting of an airtight film (3) and a layer (1) of soundproofing material. One face of said layer (1) is covered with the airtight film while the other face of same is disposed opposite the wall, said layer comprising numerous cavities (5a, 5b, 5c) which are closed at each of the ends thereof. Moreover, the thickness of said layer, between the first and second faces thereof (1a, 1c), varies and, as a result, the heights of the cavities (5a, 5b, 5c), between the first and second ends thereof, also differ. The above-mentioned soundproofing part (30) is fixed to the wall (40).</p> |
