<p>A fluorescent phospholipase assay is disclosed. Further disclosed are the identification of alpha- l-antitrypsin as a phospholipase A2 stimulator and phospholipase C inhibitor and the identification of mercaptalbumin as a phospholipase A2 inhibitor. Various applications involving the use of the phospholipase assay, alpha- I-antitrypsin and mercaptalbumin are also disclosed.</p> |
