A base-plate (1) screwed to the top and bottom parts of the articulator contains vertically inserted adjusting screws (2) linked to a support plate (3). The ends of the base plate or support plate have at least three vertical scales (4) in the for of flat scale-strips (6), which move towards each other as a result of the relative movement of the plates and in relation to the plate to which they are not fixed. The free end (7) of the scales fit into cavities in the base plate.
