A method for producing a float glass wherein a molten glass is supplied on a molten tin, the molten glass is stretched into a ribbon-like glass, and the ribbon-like glass is separated form the molten tin and then is cut into a float glass, characterized in that the ribbon-like glass has a temperature (T0) of (TG - 50˚C) to (TG + 30˚C), wherein TG represents the glass transition temperature of the float glass, when it is separated from the molten tin. The method can be advantageously employed in the production of a float glass for a glass substrate to be used in LCD or PDP.
|
