<p>An expansion engine, wherein high-temperature, high-pressure steam is fed into an expansion chamber (43) formed between pistons (42) and a cylinder sleeve (41) to press a swash plate (31) by the pistons so as to rotatingly driving a rotor (22) for lubricating the sliding surfaces of the pistons (42) and the cylinder sleeve (41) with oil fed through an oil hole (32c), the pistons (42) are formed of top parts (63) exposed to the high-temperature, high-pressure steam in the expansion chamber (43), end parts (61) allowed to abut on the swash plate (31), and intermediate parts (62) coming in slidable contact with the cylinder sleeve (41) between the end parts (61) and the top parts (63), and the top parts (63) are formed of a heat resistant corrosionproof material, the end parts (61) are formed of a surface pressure-resistant material, and the intermediate part (62) is formed of a wear resistant material, whereby the durability of the pistons (42) of the axial piston cylinder type expansion engine can be increased.</p> |
