<p>A hook assembly comprising: (a) a hook (1) with a shank (2) extending at one end through a curved shape ending in a sharp end (6) projecting approximately in the direction of the shank (2), (b) a clip (10) attached to the shank (2) at its other end, the clip (10) being adapted to attach the hook (1) to a fishing line, (c) a plastics sleeve (16) enclosing the point of attachment between clip (10) and shank (2) in such a way that alignment of the shank (2) is kept fixed in relation to any alignment of the clip (10). The above arrangement also allows the hook assembly to be held in such a fashion that, when attached to a fishing line, the assembly projects horizontally to a side of the line.</p> |
