摘要 Lipase variants (I) prepared by performing at least one amino acid substitution in a starting lipase (II), of lipase homology families I.1 or I.2 are new. The amino acid substitution is at a position corresponding to positions 17, 29, 30, 52, 86, 117, 122, 160, 163, 167, 265, 266, 286 or 289 of a 319 residue prototype lipase sequence (S1), given in the specification. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) nucleic acid (II) that encodes (I); (2) nucleic acid constructs that contain (II); (3) host organisms transformed with the constructs of (2); (4) preparing (I) by culturing the organisms of (3); (5) lipase formulations containing at least one (I); (6) enzyme-catalyzed or enantioselective conversion of substrates using (I); and (7) preparing optically active compounds by enantioselective reaction of a stereoisomeric mixture or racemate of a lipase-sensitive substrate, using (I), then separation of the reaction mixture.
