METHOD OF ANALYZING AMINOFUNCTIONAL COMPOUND AND ANALYTICAL REAGENT

It is intended to provide a method of conveniently and highly sensitively analyzing an aminofunctional compound such as an amino acid or a peptide contained in a sample. The aminofunctional compound in the aminofunctional compound-containing sample as described above is conveniently and highly sensitively analyzed by labeled the aminofunctional compound with a specific carbamate compound such as p-trimethylammonium anilyl-N-hydroxysuccinimide carbamate iodide to thereby enhance the selectivity. This method is usable particularly in quantitatively analyzing a target compound by a mass spectrometric analysis method such as the MS/MS method. It is also intended to provide a labeling reagent for the mass spectrometric analysis and a novel compound which can be used in this labeling reagent.
