PURPOSE: Provided is an advanced sewage treatment method being capable of simultaneously removing BOD, SS, nitrogen, phosphorous and colon bacillus by using ceramic filter and 3-step filtration. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises a first filtration step which is a downflow and aeration filtration performed in a first filtration zone(10) which comprises an upper water layer, a middle ceramic filter layer(12), a lower water layer(11) and an aerator(13) installed between the middle ceramic filter layer(12) and the lower water layer(11) for removing BOD and ammonium nitrogen by aerobic microorganism growing onto the filter layer(12) and nitrobacter, respectively, a second filtration step which is an upstream and anoxic filtration performed in a second filtration zone(20) which comprises an upper water layer, a middle ceramic filter layer(22), a lower water layer(21) and an aerator(23) provided between the middle ceramic filter layer(22) and the lower water layer(21), wherein the filtrate of the first filtration step and untreated wastewater are supplied to the lower water layer(21) of the second filtration zone, for removing nitrogen by denitrification caused by denitrifier, and a third filtration step which is a downstream and aeration filtration performed in a third filtration zone(30) which comprises an upper water layer(31), a middle ceramic filter layer(32), a middle sand filter layer(34), a lower water layer and an aerator(33) installed between the middle sand filter layer(34) and the lower water layer, wherein the filtrate of the second filtration zone is supplied to the upper water layer(31) of the third filtration zone(30), for removing BOD and SS by microorganism growing on the filter layer(32) and SS and colon bacillus by the sand filter(34).
