<p>The present invention relates to lining a pipe (20) or main with a liner (10) of plastic material. The liner is provided with means such as longitudinal grooves (11) to enable fluid trapped between the liner and the surrounding pipe to pass along the liner to escape through a vent (21) provided in the surrounding pipe. The liner is preferably folded or deformed prior to insertion into the pipe such that its width is less than that of the inside diameter of the pipe to be lined. The liner is preferably folded or deformed such that it has a non-circular cross-section such as a C-shaped cross-section.</p> |
