Production of a fuel core involves moving dried fuel particles in a rotating oven (10) having integrated crucible molded parts (16) vertically to the oven axis after calcining, reducing and sintering. The crucible molded parts have cut-outs for passage of the fuel particles and arranged in a slanting manner. An Independent claim is also included for a device for carrying out the above process. Preferred Features: The cut-outs have a surface of less than 50% of the base surface of the crucible molded parts and run outside the longitudinal axis. The crucibles interlock with each other. The cut-outs are cut-outs extending up to the peripheral wall of the crucible.
