The control device has a pair of inputs coupled to the AC supply network via respective switches (S1,S2) of a wall-mounted double switch and a pair of outputs coupled to respective groups of halogen lamps. The inputs and outputs are coupled via a number of relays (L1,Rel1,L2,L2a,L3,L3a) and a voltage step-down transformer ((TR1) allowing independent or simultaneous switching of both halogen lamp groups via the double switch.
