POLYESTER RESIN COMPOSITIONS FOR PROFILE EXTRUSION AND PROFILES MADE THEREFROM

A polyester resin composition for profile extrusion, comprising a noncrystalline polyester, at least one component selected from the group consisting of crystalline polyesters and nucleating agents, and, if necessary, a reactive compound; a polyester resin composition for profile extrusion, comprising a polyester resin and a reactive compound having a weight-average molecular weight of 200 to 500,000; and profiles made from a resin having a ratio of reduced viscosity after extrusion to that before extrusion of 1.01 to 3.00. These compositions are freed from dropping of resin in extrusion and improved in the shape accuracy of corners and edges of extrudates as observed over the stages from a die to sizing and in resistance of transparent articles to whitening on bending, and can give profiles having satisfactory mechanical characteristics and excellent solvent resistance and detergent resistance.
