A secondary battery-use pole plate material capable of being improved in battery characteristics and excellent in economy. A steel or copper sheet (foil) is punched, nickel-plated, press-worked, embossed for example, to provide protrusions on the surface thereof, and is provided with cleavages at the leg portions thereof as required to complete a three-dimension structure.
