<p>A novel approach is offered to produce a sterilizable medical package by laminating either a nonwoven fabric or a perforated film to a paper web. The laminate construction exhibits properties of heat stability, strength, microbial barrier, air/gas permeability and printability. The laminate construction becomes a self-sealing package that can be sterilized by various techniques, e.g. autoclave (heat), ethylene oxide or gamma radiation.</p> |
