A pre-slaughter electrical stunning device for small animals consists of a scissor-action tool with twin electrodes (9) mounted on spring (11) action lever-bars (7). The electrodes are applied by convergence of hand levers (6). The stunning tool is especially of a size small enough for one-hand operation. The tool further has a spacer (12) which limits the minimum gap size between the electrodes.
