<p>A collection of patterned paper, plastic or textile samples (3) is anchored on a short web around a drum (1). The drum rotates in steps which are terminated and resumed by a control unit (9). A holding roll bar (7) holds the sample in a fixed position while the drum is static. During the static period, the sample is marked e.g. by a printer jet cartridge with essential identification information on one side. Following advancement, the holding bar facilitates printing on sample the obverse side.</p> |
