摘要 PURPOSE: An apparatus for generating a graphic control signal using a data enable signals is provided to accurately control a first display line point of a picture regardless of resolution of the picture and a format of a display signal. CONSTITUTION: A data enable signal decoder(1) receives a data enable signal and a clock signal for generating a pulse signal for defining timing of an initial high interval and the last high interval of the data enable signal. A blank interval counter unit(2) counts a vertical low interval of the data enable signal according to the clock signal, and latches the count value according to the pulse signal. An adding block(3) adds up a value counting a vertical low interval and a value counting the high interval. A virtual data enable signal generator(4) counts the vertical high interval according to the clock signal for providing the count value to the adding block, and generates a virtual data enable signal by duplicating the high interval and the low interval of the data enable signal. A vertical start signal generator(5) examines the high pulse number of the virtual data enable signal for adjusting a position according to external input and generating a vertical start signal. A horizontal start signal generator(6) subtracts 1 from the output of the blank interval counter unit, and counts the clock signal for comparing the two values with each other for generating a horizontal start signal.
