Mirror optics comprises a mirror device focusing infra-red radiation passing through a lens unit onto a detector unit. The mirror device is made in one piece from a pyramid-shaped mirror element (22) made from a planar mirror material (34) and having a number of planar, faceted surface regions (38) arranged at a specified angle to each other. The mirror element is positioned relative to the lens unit and to the detector unit in a motion sensor housing to obtain a detection angle of more than 160degrees, especially more than 170degrees, in at least one detection plane. Independent claims are also included for the mirror element and a motion-activated light unit. Preferred Features: The mirror element is a stamped and then folded sheet part, especially nickel-plated or chrome-plated brass, aluminum or steel. |
