Two rotatable and axially movable bearing axles (10) are provided and the side of the gripper guide segment (2) facing a guide curve (4) is fixed in a non-rotary manner to the axle (10). The axles are connected via a bridge (8) to an axially movable push bar (5) extending coaxial to the cylinder length axis, so that axially movement of the push bar is transferrable to the gripper guide segments. The system is used in printing machines for carrying out printing on one side or perfecting and includes pivotal gripper guide segments which can be moved along the cylinder length axis. The gripper guide segments are actively connected to gripper support shafts and can be urged against coaxial guide curves.
