PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processing unit that can efficiently execute confirmation processing of correctness of data. SOLUTION: A verification processing for partial data resulting from dividing contents data into a plurality of data is executed through a collation processing of a partial check value generated as a check value with respect to a partial data set including one of partial data or more, and the verification processing for the entire partial data set corresponding to plural partial check values is performed through the collation processing for check values for verifying partial check values that verifies the partial check value set being combinations of a plurality of the partial check values. Thus, the verification processing in response to application modes of the contents data such as omission of the verification processing for data parts where no possibility of falsification exists can be attained to efficiently verify data.
