<p>Thin, neutroscopic or neutrographic screen, is of homogeneous composition and consists mainly of two substances, one of which has high efficiency of neutron capture, pref. boron, or lithium enriched with lithium -6, or a compound of one of these, which emits alpha-particles when subjected to a neutron flux, while the other constituent is luminescent, particularly zinc sulphide, the thickness of the screen being of the same order as the length of the path of the alpha-particles in the screen.</p> |
