Driver device for workpieces with transfer bars

A cross-part (8) (in)directly engages with the gripper bars (3) outside their grip regions and is used to move these bars backwards and forwards. At least one driven pivot arm (9) is connected to the cross-part, the pivoting movement of the arm being convertible into a displacement of the cross-part in a direction transverse to the latter, resulting in a backwards or forwards movement of the gripper bars. The engagement point of the pivot arm with a guide (10) extending in the cross-part length direction is movable. The displacement device (1) is used to move workpieces in a stepwise manner and comprises two gripper bars with grip parts or regions for the workpieces, the gripper bars being movable backwards and forwards in the displacement direction (PF1). Each gripper bar is engaged with at least two spaced apart pivot arms (4) which are parallel with each other or can be pivoted relative to each other in a mirror synchronised manner in the gripper bar movement plane or a parallel plane. The pivot arms on one gripper bar are pivoted in the opposite direction to those on the other gripper bar. The pivot arms are connected to the gripper bar via a length guide (7).
