Calender has a guide roller (1) which forms a nip (6) with a contact roller (3). Two webs (4, 5) are passed together into the nip and around a sector (8) of the contact roller to form a laminated product (12) which is led off through a second nip (7) between the contact roller and a second guide roller (2). Independent claims are included for: (a) a calender system containing one or more calenders as described above; and (b) a calendering method using the calender.
