<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a maximum current necessary for printing driving without decreasing a printing speed of a printer so much and to effectively lessen printing irregularities associated with divided driving of printing elements in the printer of a line recording system which uses an in-line type printing head, dividedly drives the printing elements to make a driving current not larger than a fixed value and prints by determining the number of driving-dividing times and a horizontal scanning speed for each line. <P>SOLUTION: A control means is provided for smoothing a change of the horizontal scanning speed variably set for each line. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
