PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating machine with a control panel capable of operating the control panel mounted in an opening and closing area of the protective cover even in an opening condition of the protective cover. SOLUTION: The protective cover 5 for opening and closing an upper part of a working space 3 is pivoted on the operating machine body 1 in a state of being opened and closed forwardly and upwardly, the control panel 8 raised near a pivotting line of the protective cover 5 in a lateral width of the protective cover 5 is mounted on the operating machine body 1, a window 13 is cut in such manner that it is opposite to the control panel in an opening condition of the protective cover 5, and a closing member 30 is mounted on the operating machine body 1 for closing the cut window 13 in a closing condition of the protective cover 5, so that the control panel 8 can be operated through the cut window 13 in the opening condition of the protective cover 5.
