PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool capable of performing the manual work on the other machining device part by a worker even when one of the machining device part is in a state of automatic operation, and securing the safety of the worker. SOLUTION: This machine tool body 1 has the left and right machining device parts 3, 4 mounted in a common machining area S covered by a machine body cover 5, and performing the related work. An opening and closing-type intermediate shutter 11, and left and right opening and closing-type front doors 17 are mounted to partition the machining area S into two sectional machining areas S1, S2 respectively corresponding to the machining device parts 3, 4. A close state confirming means 36 is mounted to confirm that the predetermined sectional machining area closing state including the closed state of the front doors 17 and the closed state of the intermediate shutter 11, is satisfied. An interlock means 35 is mounted to inhibit the driving of both machining device parts 3, 4 when one of the left and right front doors 17 is in an opened state. But the interlock means 35 does not inhibit the driving of one of the machining device parts 3, 4 regardless of the opening and closing state of the front doors 17 of the other machining device part 3, 4, when it is confirmed that the sectional machining area close state corresponding to one of the machining device parts 3, 4 is satisfied, by the close state confirming means 36.
