PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive material capable of being easily released without damaging an adherend, by giving stimulation to the adhesive material, to provide a tape, by using the adhesive material, and to provide a method for releasing the adhesive material. SOLUTION: This adhesive material contains a gas-generating agent which generates gas when the stimulation is given, wherein the gas generated from the gas-generating agent is discharged to the outside of the adhesive material so that the adhesive material does not foam, and the gas generated from the gas-generating agent releases at least a part of an adhesive surface of the adhesive material from the adherend so that adhesive force is decreased.
