PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combine harvester equipped with a pretreatment variable- speed mechanism independently of a traveling variable-speed mechanism and having the mechanism of subjecting the power of a pretreatment section to variable-speed action, and preventing the pretreatment section from being set in action according to the case that the machine body is set in motion unintendedly. SOLUTION: This combine harvester includes a stepless variable-speed gear 21 for traveling use functioning to subject the machine body's traveling power to variable-speed action according to the operation of a traveling variable-speed lever 42 and a stepless variable-speed gear 27 for pretreatment functioning to subject the power of a pretreatment section 2 for reaping stems to variable- speed action according to vehicle speed, and also a neutral detective switch 43 for detecting the neutral position of the traveling variable-speed lever 42 and a pretreatment driving check means (pretreatment variable-speed control means) for checking the driving of the pretreatment section 2 when the traveling variable-speed lever 42 lies at the neutral position.
