PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press hardening method for producing a press formed part having high strength and accuracy at a low cost. SOLUTION: In this press hardening method for conducting hardening and press forming, a low-carbon steel sheet is heated, then is press formed with dies with the insides cooled with a cooling medium, and is restrained in the dies so that hardening is carried out from an austenized temperature. The thickness of scale on the steel sheet surface before pressing is set at 10μm or lower. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
