PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hood for an endoscope which can be attached to and easily removed from the endoscope without causing a drop-out or any damage to the endoscope. SOLUTION: The endoscopic hood comprises a portion 12 compressively fixed on a peripheral surface of an insertion portion 1a of the endoscope, a protrusion 11 by a specified distance from a leading edge of the insertion portion 1a of the endoscope toward an axial direction with the fixed portion 12 in a state of being compressively fixed to the insertion portion 1a of the endoscope and a non-tight attached portion 13 being attached to the peripheral surface of the insertion portion 1a of the endoscope in a non-tight attached state to be attached thereto.
