PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relieve impact force by a simple composition when a driver secondarily collides into a steering column from above following a front collision of an automobile and impact force is applied to the driver from the steering column. SOLUTION: The front part of the automobile 1 is provided with the steering column 23 passing through a lower area and a rear area of a brake booster 16 arranged in a cabin 10 in a rear neighborhood of the front part of a body 2 and extending upward toward the rear. When the front part of the body 2 deforms to move B rearward by the front collision of the automobile 1, the brake booster 16 turns C around one portion 36 of the front part of the body 2 as seen from a side of the body 2 along with the rearward movement B. An engaging means 37 is provided for engaging the steering column 23 to the brake booster 16 so that the steering column 23 moves D downward toward the front along with the turning movement C.
