PURPOSE: A roller skate unit with a function of preventing its backward movement is provided to enable the wearer to freely adjust the whole longitudinal width of the skate according to his/her foot size, to maximize safety by increasing a braking ability thereof, and to prevent sliding backward movement thereof for use at stairs and the like. CONSTITUTION: The roller skate unit comprises a front panel(2) having a shock-absorbing protrusion(26) attached at the front end thereof, a ratchet gear shaped front stopper(4) coupled to a front roller(6), and a front fixing band with a velcro fastener, and a rear panel(5) screwed to the front panel in a length adjustable manner. The rear panel has a ratchet gear shaped rear stopper(8) coupled to a rear roller(10), a brake plate(30) installed adjacent to the rear end of the rear roller, and a rear fixing band(80) with a velcro fastener(82).
