PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an egg aligning apparatus, which can surely carry out the alignment of eggs and whose occupying area is smaller. SOLUTION: The egg aligning apparatus is provided with a first stage 24, on which a light source probe 12R and a light sensor probe 13R are arranged at one end side of a transferred egg 2, and a light source probe 12L and a light sensor probe 13L are arranged at the other end side, the light source probes emitting laser beam and the light sensor probes receiving the laser beam emitted to the egg and comes back. The light source probes 12R, 12L are connected to a laser light source 15, and the light sensor probes 13R, 13L are connected to a light sensor 16. The laser light source 15 and light sensor 16 are connected to a transfer controller 18 via a judgement operation circuit section 17. The apparatus is also provided with a second stage 25, on which a direction shift part 26 is arranged for aligning the egg 2 (tray 11) in a prescribed direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
