PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, with a simple structure, general purpose lighting equipment capable of illuminating a specific area such as an area near an occupant in the interior of a vehicle, capable of providing the high degree of freedom of a mounting positions, and capable of easily performing a switching operation between a non-illumination state and an illumination state by detecting the position of a light source in the non-illumination state. SOLUTION: In this lighting equipment, a LED light source is stored in a casing and a light shielding member slidable or rotatable relative to the casing and having an optical window is installed. In a first state, the light shielding member covers the LED light source on the light emitting side, and light from the LED light source is radiated to the outside through the optical window in the light shielding member.
