PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the segregated disposal by easily removing a plastic base cover from a desk stapler. SOLUTION: A breakable chip 13 provided at a central part of a rear end of the plastic cover 3 and a right and a left main body parts are connected to each other at two bridge parts 14 and 15 in upper and lower, and the breakable chip 13 can be broken. The bridge parts 14 and 15 are broken and the breakable chip 13 is eliminated by inserting a driver D between the breakable chip 13 of the base cover 3 and a base plate 2 and twisting the driver D. The base cover 3 is removed from the base plate 2 by raising a rear end of a base cover 3 main body from the base plate 2 and moving it forward. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
